The Global Donation Report of 2018 is now available

It is the only annual study dedicated to analyzing donation habits of donors from around the world and is related to the Global NGO Technology Report sponsored by the Public Interest Registry and performs Nonprofit Tech for Good.

The 2018 is the second edition of this report on global giving trends. It is based on the results of the survey of 6057 donors from around the world, which was promoted and made entirely online, from April 23 to June 30, 2018, in Arabic, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish .

Some of the global trends in donation that reflect the 2018 report are that 54% of donors prefer to do it online with a credit or debit card; that 45% of donors are enrolled in a monthly donation program; that only 20% of donors expect a gift in exchange for their donation, while 80% are not more likely to donate in exchange for a gift. 68% of people who donate to NGOs consider gifts as a waste of money.

We invite you to consult this report on global donation trends 2018 as well as, if you have not yet done so, the NGO Technology Report 2018 that offers a global view of the use that the Third Sector makes of technologies. The data from both reports is intended to help non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit organizations (NPOs) and charities around the world better understand if they use technology in the way their donors prefer and what they need to get better.
