Having a cause, finding a famous personality, and receiving donations from his/her fans. That’s how easy Omaze is, a leading fundraising platform in the United States, created by a passionate team of visionaries who work to offer unique life experiences which are meaningful and unforgettable. The founders Ryan Cummins and Matt Pohlson had a very simple idea. Anyone in the world can donate ten dollars, and in exchange, can win the opportunity, for example, to spend a magical day with Magic Johnson.
20% of donations go to Omaze, and thanks to these, they can build this triangle to make the experiences which the donors have requested turn into reality. The experiences can be within the world of basketball, animals, Game of Thrones, etc.
Omaze works with celebrities to promote the message on their social media channels, through video. In fact, Cummins and Pohlson went as far as to say, in statements to CNN, that their fundraising was all thanks to Youtube. To give an example, a video to promote an experience with Arnold Schwarzenegger had 25 million views.
Some of the experiences which the donors won are: to be a rockstar for a day with Bon Jovi, to have pizza with Matt Damon or to meet the Atlético de Madrid player Antoine Griezmann on Derby day.

How does it work?
The platform works in three simple steps.- Discovery: find out a unique experience that you would like to have.
- Donation: join the Omaze community, make a 10 dollar donation and have the chance to live a unique experience.
- Win-win: the donation supports a cause, a donor wins the chance to have that experience, and the NGO which benefits builds a community of supporters for their mission.
