Twitter tweets in several languages

No more excuses not to use Twitter! The platform of micro blogging, used by more than 50 million people, becomes multilingual.

Versions in French, Spanish, Italian, German and Japanese complete the original English version. The application developers have used groups of volunteers to translate keywords and interfaces.

Twitter is a social network easy of use, where you follow people's actions and they do the same. The tweet or post is limited to 140 characters of text, that can be commented or retwetted, ex: be published on your profie. Thus, a chain of transmission of information is created through a communication 100 % web 2.0.

Launched in 2006 in the United States, Twitter is as popular as Facebook. Nowadays, the multilingual version targets better specific audiences, reluctant before to use English.

For NGOs, Twitter, as well as Facebook, is a social network and useful to develop your communication. It permits to exchange, communicate and meet virtually with other entities that have the same aims.
